In 2019 Yom Haatzmaut, Israel's Independence Day, occurred a few days after rockets stopped falling on Israel's southern communities.  Zechariah wrote an impassioned plea to his extended family explaining why he felt it was important to celebrate the holiday in Israel's south in order to strengthen residents of that area.  Zechariah and Talia made sure to go south every Yom Haatzmaut thereafter and in 2024, following Zechariah's death, his extended family toured the Tel Arad area in his memory and in his honor.  We hope to do so in future years and would love to hear from you if you do the same.
